"Now you'll see what happens to a bottle that doesn't 'fit' the mold," Simchi Herzog quipped. "This bottle doesn't have a hechsher sticker. It'll be kicked out of the assembly line in a minute. Just watch."
My children gaped, fascinated, as an endless line of filled, but uncapped, grape juice bottles snaked past one of the sensors on the high-tech assembly line. One after the next, the bottles escaped the 'selection,' until the hechsher-less bottle passed - and an unseen hand jerked it forward, out of the row and into a holding area. "Just like a child who misbehaves in class," we joked.
