White Tulip 2013 is a unique blend of two white varieties, different by nature: aromatic Gewürztraminer with fresh Sauvignon Blanc.
The Gewürztraminer grapes were hand-picked at Kfar Yuval vineyard near Metula (350 m alt.), and the Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Kerem Ben-Zimra's old vines (750 m alt.). The grapes from both vineyards were handpicked and transported in chilled atmosphere. When the grapes arrived at the winery they were immediately crushed and chilled, and then put into the press, where only the free run was produced and moved into tanks- each variety to a separate tank. The must was fermented in low temperature with yeast that specializes in producing aromatic white wines, for about 40 days.
