This wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and once bottled, an additional year in the winery cellars giving it refinement and complexity.
The harvest required special attention in the treatment of the vineyard as well as precision and patience in choosing when to harvest the grapes. Careful monitoring and understanding of the conditions have led to concentrated fruit with rich colour, quality, and flavour. The harvest took place in early September at the winery, so that the low temperatures at late night would preserve the flavour and aroma of the grapes.
This Cabernet Sauvignon plot grew in the Upper Galilee’s Kedesh Valley. This unique area is characterized with stony Terra Rossa soil causing the vine roots to search for stored water deep into the layers of rock contributing to a strong and balanced vine.
The wine is a deep dark ruby red with cherry hues and a rich round body. Core flavours of black forest fruit, cassis and blueberries with chocolate, vanilla and coffee are pronounced. Notes of aged wood combined with balanced acidity lead to a long, complex finish.
