52% Syrah 30% Merlot 18% Cabernet Sauvignon Barkan's Assemblage Series offers a whole new perspective on the potential of Israel's wine regions. Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, individually fermented and barrel aged for 10 months were brought together to create EITAN. The wine's bouquet marries red cherry, and berry notes with elegant hints of sandal wood, coriander, thyme and leather and is well balanced to perfection with textured tannins and a harmonious long finish. The wine is a delight today and will be even finer with bottle age.
A deep, shiny purplish red color.
The nose is full of scents of black fruit, mainly cassis, which lead to aromas of tobacco, rosemary, nutmeg and a hint of old leather.
The palate presents elegant and balanced fruitiness, refined acidity, a greenish shade of thyme and rosemary wrapped in ground black pepper. The smooth tannins, the complexity, the richness and the long and elegant finish eventually create a wine which is harmonious, precise and yet with an impressive presence.
