Fascinated by wine philosophy and vineyard cultivation, David Suissa has always been evolving in the world of luxury and very high quality products. Before his career in the wine world, he contributed to the development of fashion designers men’s tailoring like Kenzo, Francesco Smalto and Corneliani, who left a mark on the history of “haute couture” in France. It is his real passion and his very significant experience that he shares and uses to create his wines.
David found a company specialized in the production and retailing of kosher ‘Grand Crus’ only coming from prestigious and world-renowned domain in Bordeaux Region, among which: Château Smith Haut Lafitte from Pessac Leognan area, Château Lafon Rochet from Saint Estèphe area, Château Rauzan Gassies from Margaux area. Since 1999, this company has been retailing those references to the Jewish customer’s elite all over the world, mainly in France, the United States, Panama, England, Switzerland and Brazil.
After The Creation Of The Company
“Les Vins IDS”, specialist in the production of Grand Crus and Prestige cuvees in Bordeaux region, David Suissa, still looking for new experiences, has set new challenges: exploring new latitudes, new microclimates, new terroirs, and new varieties of grapes. Because of its vines of ancestral reputation, Israel emerged as evident.
That’s how this ambitious project was born—creating and branding under Ephod Winery a range of Israeli wines whose vineyards are implemented at the edge of the Desert of Judah, Galil Elyone and Ramat Hagolan. These terroirs yield very complex, elegant and authentic wines.
